Bomar 2000 Companionway Sliding Door Features:

Bomar’s 2000 series companionway sliding door incorporates features not previously available in a bent companionway door. These include an optional integral sliding screen, narrow frame and base to optimize the width of the passageway and the clear viewing area, and an ultra smooth Delrin sliding system. Something of particular interest to boat builders is the ability to install the fully asembled door onto a flat cutout (not recessed). This eliminates complex tooling in the deck, and allows the use of trim pieces to dress out the interior. The 2000 series door system features marine grade lock sets and marine grade polyester powdercoating. Custom colors are available.

2000 Companionway Sliding Door Applications:

The 2000 companionway series sliding doors are generally used in cabin deck location as a entry system and are appropriate for motor yacht, sport cruisers, sail and express models.

2000 Companionway Sliding Door Fabrication:

The master frame of aluminum extrusions are mandrel bent and formed to match deck angle and mechanically assembled. Door panels are welded and allow for glazing of 1/4″ acrylic panels. Low profile flanges allow for ease of installation.
